Blender Section®   




 Outside Air Distribution can be significantly compromised when
air stratification exists. By mixing the return and outside air streams
in the air handling unit, IAQ concerns can be minimized.

What advantages does the Blender Section provide over other alternatives?

The Blender Section provides several additional benefits above and beyond the Air Blender:
  • The mixing performance is defined and predictable because the up and downstream distances are fixed. Therefore, the designer can be assured that these distances are not compromised.
  • The patented combination of static mixers with angled transitions provides equally high mixing in shorter distances than normal Air Blender mixer applications
  • Allows for high levels of mixing on VAV systems with significant turndown ratios


Applications (When is it used):

  • Provides maximum mixing in shortest possible distance
  • Requires minimal energy (typical application is between 0.10 - 0.20" w.g.)
  • Provides predictable mixing for every mixer size due to geometric, dynamic, and kinematic similarity
  • Provides reliable pressure drop rating which includes the effect of mixer to plenum area ratio (i.e. orifice effect)
